но как-то не вяжется - не заставляй её унывать, когда она пишет тебе

Не надо письку делать синей, когда он тебе пишет. Во как!

Может тогда наоборот:
Пусть она не грустит, когда пишет тебе

Скорее - не заставляй её жалеть, что она написала тебе...

blue - идиома, равнозначная тому, когда у нас спрашивают: " Что что такой серый?" Или "тоска зелёная"...
Это не грусть, это сложный комплекс душевных переживаний, которые сродни горю, печали, скорби...
Итак, когда она пишет (к) тебе, не делай ей несчастной...

Смотрите в контексте, тогда станет более понятно, что несёт с собой эта фраза...:-)
